Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. She survived on a student salary and part-time work to supplement her budget. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and she pondered what alternative route she could take. Lennox played flute in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. The band did not appear on the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Then, Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva and it was released in the year 1992. The album received a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public...
